KEELING COLLOQUIUM

Every few years, the UCL Philosophy Department in conjunction with the UCL Department of Greek and Latin organises a colloquium on a theme or a text in ancient philosophy.

KEELING WORKSHOPS

The Keeling Centre has held a number of workshops, some in collaboration with other institutions, some independently, on a range of topics in ancient philosophy.

LOXY (LONDON OXFORD YALE)

The LOXY (London-Oxford-Yale) Conference in Ancient Philosophy is a conference open to staff and students at London universities (Royal Holloway, UCL, KCL, Birkbeck), Oxford and Yale.

TRIANGLE GRADUATE COLLOQUIUM

Once a term, a colloquium is convened for graduate students in Ancient Philosophy in London (UCL & KCL), Oxford and Cambridge. The colloquium takes place over one day, in one of the three locations, and features a speaker and respondent from each.

KCL-UCL READING GROUP

During term time, Thursdays 2pm-4pm, staff and students of the Keeling Centre attend an Ancient Greek Philosophy Reading Group, co-convened with Ancient Philosophy staff and students from Kings College London. A text (an entire dialogue or book of a treatise) is the focus of one or more terms.

KCL-UCL SUMMER SESSION:
OLD CHESTNUTS AND WORK IN PROGRESS

In the Summer Term, staff and students at UCL and KCL present work in progress, or translate an 'Old Chestnut' - a famous passage of an ancient text - offering new insights into the passage.

KEELING GRADUATE AND EARLY CAREER CONFERENCE

The Keeling Graduate and Early Career Conference is a conference organised by postgraduates at UCL and KCL and is open to postgraduate students and early career researchers internationally.

ANCIENT PHILOSOPHY IN LONDON

London is a thriving centre for ancient philosophy and the Keeling Centre for Ancient Philosophy has links with the London Centre for Ancient Philosophy, the Institute for Classical Studies , as well as the UCL Department for Greek and Latin and Philosophy Departments at King's College London, Birkbeck and Royal Holloway.  There are numerous regular ancient philosophy events in London, as well as one-off conferences.
